Karnataka Launches AI Tool Shiksha Copilot for Teachers
Karnataka launched the AI-powered "Shiksha Copilot" tool to assist teachers in government schools, aiming to improve lesson planning and personalize teaching. Developed with the Sikshana Foundation and Microsoft Research India, it simplifies lesson creation by integrating text, images, and videos. Initially rolled out to 1,000 teachers across Classes 5 to 10 in both urban and rural areas, the tool helps manage multiple subjects and enhances classroom interaction. Available in Kannada and English, Shiksha Copilot aims to boost academic performance, particularly in board exams, by allowing teachers to focus on students' individual needs.
