EU Pledges ₹35 Billion Loan to Ukraine

The European Union (EU) has pledged ₹35 billion (about billion) to support Ukraine’s recovery from the ongoing war with Russia, as part of a larger billion aid package coordinated by the G7 nations. The funds, sourced from the interest on frozen Russian assets, will help Ukraine rebuild infrastructure, improve defense capabilities, and provide financial stability. The EU has already contributed over ₹118 billion euros in military and economic aid since the conflict began. President Zelenskyy plans to use the funds for rebuilding energy facilities, constructing bomb shelters, improving education, and strengthening military resources.
