EShram Portal

The eShram portal, launched in 2021, has registered over 30 crore unorganised workers, providing them with centralized access to social security schemes. This digital initiative by the Ministry of Labour & Employment helps unorganised workers connect with schemes such as life and accident insurance, health coverage, employment guarantees, and housing support. Planned improvements in the 2024-25 Budget aim to enhance the portal’s utility by linking it with other platforms, further improving the welfare and access to benefits for India’s unorganised workforce.
