ISRO-ESA Collaboration on Apophis Asteroid Mission

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the European Space Agency (ESA) are collaborating on the Ramses project to study the asteroid Apophis, which will pass close to Earth in 2029. This mission aims to monitor Apophis closely to gather data on potential asteroid threats, utilizing both organizations' expertise. As part of the IS4OM project, ISRO is also working on establishing specialized monitoring systems and collaborating with international bodies like IAWN and SMPAG. This collaboration aims to enhance global efforts in asteroid study and planetary defense.
