New Dinosaur Species Discovered in Patagonia

In Patagonia, a new dinosaur species called Koleken inakayali was discovered. This abelisaurid dinosaur had even shorter arms than Tyrannosaurus rex, similar to Carnotaurus. K. inakayali was smaller, lacked horns, and had rough skin. Its arms had limited movement, stiff elbows, and simple wrist joints. Abelisaurids like K. inakayali were dominant in South America during the Late Cretaceous, but the reasons for their evolutionary traits remain debated.
