Army Conducts Survey On Agnipath Scheme

The Agnipath Scheme, launched by the Indian government in June 2022, revolutionizes recruitment for the Indian Armed Forces by hiring personnel on a four-year contract basis, termed as Agniveers. Up to 25% of Agniveers have the option to continue their service based on performance. The scheme aims to lower the average age of military personnel and promote tech-savviness but has faced challenges regarding job security and future prospects for Agniveers. Currently, the Army is conducting an internal survey to gather feedback and recommend potential changes to improve the scheme.
