Researchers Create Artificial Synapse Using Water and Salt
Researchers from the Netherlands and South Korea have innovatively created artificial synapses using a mixture of water and salt, similar to the human brain's functioning medium. These synapses, known as iontronic memristors, are tiny devices that can record the amount of electrical charge flowing through them, mimicking the brain's ability to adjust neural connections based on signal history. This breakthrough not only enhances our understanding of synthetic neurological structures but also paves the way for developing energy-efficient, brain-like computers capable of complex information processing.
