One Health Initiative SOPs
The Kerala Health Department is launching Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under the One Health initiative to establish a comprehensive mechanism for disease surveillance, prevention, and control at the state level. These SOPs, a first of their kind in India, will target the investigation and control of various infectious diseases, integrating efforts across several districts with the help of trained volunteers. This initiative is also part of Kerala's broader strategy, integrating human, animal, and environmental health to enhance disease control and public health safety.
