Recently, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) took a watershed decision regarding its pay policy. Finally, the country’s centrally-contracted female cricketers will earn as much match fees as their male counterparts.
What is the policy about?
- The BCCI introduced the ‘Pay Equity Policy’ under which both male and female centrally-contracted players will now receive the same match fees for appearing in international matches.
