1. Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2024

Context: NITI Aayog has released the 2024 edition of the Export Preparedness Index (EPI). It measures how ready Indian States and Union Territories (UTs) are to increase India's exports.
What: The EPI is a ranking system (composite index). It judges states on their export readiness, their ability to compete, and their government systems. It uses 4 main pillars: Policy, Business Ecosystem, Export Ecosystem, and Export Performance. It also uses 13 sub-pillars and 70 distinct indicators.
