Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 Amendments
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has amended the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 to mandate stakeholder consultations before policy changes. New provisions, Para 1.07A and 1.07B, enhance transparency and inclusivity in decision-making while retaining the government's right to make suo moto decisions in urgent cases. The amendments align with the FTP's objectives of boosting exports to ld-alert trillion by 2030, improving Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), and incorporating emerging areas like e-commerce. The revised policy underscores participatory governance, adaptability, and trust-building through feedback mechanisms.
