NIA Achieves Perfect Conviction Rate
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) achieved a 100% conviction rate in 2024, successfully convicting 68 individuals across 25 cases. It handled 80 cases, arrested 210 individuals, and focused on dismantling terrorist and insurgent networks. Convictions included cases related to Left Wing Extremism, North East insurgency, Jammu and Kashmir jihad, human trafficking, and use of explosive substances. The NIA also recovered significant weaponry and extradited international suspects. It expanded its operations with new courts and trained over 1,600 officers, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing national security and addressing transnational terrorism.
