Good Governance Index (GGI) Postponement

The Government of India postponed the release of the Good Governance Index (GGI) 2023 to 2025. Initially launched in 2019, GGI assesses state and UT governance across sectors like agriculture, health, and economic governance. Tamil Nadu and Gujarat led the rankings in earlier editions. Data for GGI 2023 will now require updates due to the delay. The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) also publishes District Good Governance Indices, providing granular insights. Celebrated during Good Governance Week (December 19-25), the index aligns with the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
