38th National Games 2025
The 38th National Games will take place in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025, celebrating India's diverse sports culture. Hosted in Dehradun, the Games feature a new mascot, Mauli, inspired by the Monal bird, reflecting Uttarakhand's heritage and natural beauty. With the theme Sankalp Se Shikhar Tak (Resolve to Zenith), the event promotes perseverance and excellence. Over 10,000 participants will compete in 38 sports, including traditional games like yoga and mallakhamb. Highlights include a ceremonial torch lighting and a focus on cultural representation. The Games emphasize sportsmanship, unity, and regional pride while spotlighting India’s traditional and modern athletic prowess.
