RuTAG 2.0 Annual Review Meeting
The first annual review meeting of Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) 2.0 was held at SKUAST, Srinagar, on December 5-6, 2024. Key highlights included the launch of an IoT-enabled fertigation system for sustainable farming and the unveiling of the RuTAG logo. Seven RuTAG centres presented updates on innovative rural technologies. The Smart Village Centres initiative was introduced, focusing on transforming villages into economic hubs using locally tailored technologies. Established in 2004, RuTAG has prioritized commercializing grassroots technology since 2023, addressing challenges in agriculture, water conservation, and healthcare, aiming to improve rural livelihoods.
