4th Mekong-Ganga Dhammayatra

The 4th Mekong-Ganga Dhammayatra brought over 20 Buddhist scholars and citizens from Thailand to India, promoting peace and environmental awareness. Led by Dr. Supachai Viraphuchong, this pilgrimage underscores the shared cultural heritage between the Mekong and Ganga civilizations. Supported by BodhiGaya Vijjalaya 980, it aligns with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of the 21st century as the Asian Century. Initiatives such as the proposed Mekong Ganga Museum and themes of Dhamma diplomacy aim to deepen ties between India and Southeast Asia. The event commemorates the 97th birth anniversary of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, celebrating unity and Dhamma values.
