IISc researchers have created a groundbreaking biodegradable foam offering an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastics. Comprising FDA-approved oils and tea leaf-based hardeners, this foam degrades rapidly in solvents within three hours and maintains high durability withstanding 10,000 load cycles. It addresses environmental concerns by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional materials.
