Prime Minister Modi launched initiatives worth Rs 12,850 crore on Ayurveda Day, observed on Dhanteras and dedicated to health. Celebrating Dhanwantri Jayanti, Ayurveda Day promotes India's traditional health practices, with 2024’s theme focused on Ayurveda’s role in global health. The festival also honors Lord Dhanvantri, the divine healer. Ayurveda, rooted in Dhanvantri's teachings to sages like Susruta, aligns with holistic well-being. The day includes worship of Dhanvantri for health and Lakshmi for prosperity, symbolizing Ayurveda’s enduring significance in Indian wellness practices.
