Prime Minister Attended the 19th East Asia Summit (EAS)

On October 11, 2024, the Prime Minister of India attended the 19th East Asia Summit in Vientiane, Lao PDR. He emphasized India’s commitment to fostering cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, aligning with ASEAN’s initiatives. Through India’s Act East Policy and Pacific Vision, the PM advocated for a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific. He also highlighted the importance of peaceful diplomacy to resolve global conflicts and addressed challenges like terrorism and cybersecurity. The Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s support for the East Asia Summit and Nalanda University, promoting educational and regional collaboration.
