ISRO Launched SSLV-D3-EOS-08
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the SSLV-D3-EOS-08 mission on August 16, 2024, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. This mission marked the completion of the development phase of ISRO's Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), designed to deploy small satellites rapidly into Low Earth Orbit. The mission included the launch of the Earth Observation Satellite EOS-08, a microsatellite equipped with advanced imaging and GPS-based monitoring instruments for disaster monitoring and environmental studies. The success of SSLV-D3 is set to strengthen India's commercial satellite launch market through ISRO's commercial arm, NewSpace India Ltd, and position India competitively in the global space industry.
