IIT Guwahati ML Framework LEAP for IC Design Efficiency

Researchers at IIT Guwahati have developed a machine learning framework called LEAP to enhance the efficiency of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) in Integrated Circuits (IC) design. EDA is crucial in the semiconductor industry, converting high-level designs into manufacturable formats. LEAP optimizes the technology mapping process by significantly reducing the number of circuit configurations engineers need to evaluate, speeding up the design process by 50% and improving performance without increasing circuit size.
