UAE-India CEPA Council
The UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has significantly strengthened business ties between the UAE and India. Odisha plays a crucial role in this partnership due to its rich resources and industrial capabilities. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, Odisha's trade with the UAE reached USD 2.63 billion, making it the eighth-largest trading partner among Indian states. Strategic agreements, including MoUs worth USD 2.76 billion, have been signed, with notable investments from the Lulu Group. The UAE-India CEPA Council (UICC), established in 2024, aims to facilitate market access, lower trade barriers, and promote economic ties, focusing on states like Odisha.
