India Exim Bank Opens Nairobi Office to Boost East Africa Trade
The Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim Bank) has opened a new office in Nairobi, Kenya, to enhance trade and business ties with East Africa. Trade between India and East Africa has grown significantly, with exports increasing from USD 8.6 billion in 2013 to USD 9.4 billion in 2022. The bank plays a crucial role in financing and promoting India's foreign trade and investments, with strategic offices in key African cities. It has extended over 200 Lines of Credit worth more than USD 12 billion to 42 African countries, facilitating socio-economic growth and creating business opportunities for SMEs.
