NABARD Climate Strategy 2030
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has launched its Climate Strategy 2030 on Earth Day to enhance green financing in India. This strategy is built on four main pillars: accelerating green lending across sectors, broadening the market-making role, undergoing internal green transformation, and strategic resource mobilization. It seeks to address the considerable green financing gap in India, requiring about 0 billion annually to achieve sustainable and resilient economic development. Additionally, various real estate developers and industries in India are adopting sustainable practices, contributing to the country’s efforts to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and achieve its ambitious renewable energy targets.
