What:
- It is an important river port in northeast India.
- It is located on the bank of River Brahmaputra.
Significance:
- It is at the western end of NW-2 (National Waterway-2), near the Indo-Bangladesh border.
- Important route for exports from Bhutan to Bangladesh- especially of stone chips and boulders.
Where:
- At Dhubri, in Assam
