PM lauds ‘God Bharai’ ceremony.

What:

• It is a new initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
  • PM Matru Vandana Yojana is a Centrally Sponsored DBT scheme.
  • Cash benefit is given to pregnant women and lactating mothers.
  • It is under the purview of Ministry of Women and Child Development.

How:

• Gathering of pregnant women and distribution of ‘Poshan Kit’ for the babies.

Who:

• This has benefitted 3.5 lakh women in 2022-23.

• In Dausa, Rajasthan
