Introduction– The Asia-Africa Growth Corridor (AAGC) was announced in November 2016 during a joint declaration by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
– The vision document for the AAGC was released during the African Development Bank (AfDB) meeting in Gujarat, India, on May 25, 2017.
– It aims to enhance economic connectivity and foster sustainable development between Asia and Africa.
Objectives– Development and Cooperation Projects: Promote economic growth and development across Asia and Africa.
– Quality Infrastructure and Institutional Connectivity: Build reliable infrastructure and strengthen institutional ties for seamless connectivity.
