The Curious Case of the Sentinelese Tribe

Recently, an American self-styled adventurer and Christian missionary was allegedly killed by Sentinelese tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, when he was trespassing into their restricted island. This incident highlights the shameful practice of tribal tourism, which was prohibited by the Supreme Court of India but still remains in practice and continues to haunt the reclusive tribes of the Andaman Islands.

Gaganyaan mission was announced by Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech, that ISRO will be sending its first human spaceflight mission into space by 2022.

ISRO has launched GSAT-29 communication satellite successfully on board GSLV-Mk III D2 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. With this launch, GSLV Mk III completed the test flights and is declared operational, thus joining the ranks of the working vehicles such as PSLV. Besides, this launch serves as a major boost for Chandrayaan-II (moon) and Gaganyaan (manned) missions.

[Premium] US’s Withdrawal from INF Treaty – Is it the End of Arms Control?

The United States President Donald Trump has recently announced that US will unilaterally pull out of 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty which was signed by the US and Russia during Cold War era for banning all ground-launch nuclear missiles with the range between 500 and 5500 km. However, US accuses Russia to have developed a new medium-range missile and it has also been concerned about China which is not a signatory to the INF treaty, producing medium-range missiles.
